European Tour Player CRAIG LEE, and as reported in the Scotsman, won the Tartan Tour’s Deer Park Masters at the Deer Park club near Livingston last week. The player recently switched all of his clubs to "The Full Release"â?¢ performance grip from Feel Golf, and his fortunes turned around immediately. Having had difficulty in making cuts this season, Lee has finished in the top five in recent events and now has his first win.
The 29-year-old closed with a four-under-par 68 for a six-under aggregate of 138 and won by a stroke from Northern Open champion Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle).
During an eventful round, Lee opened with an eagle two, a double-bogey seven and a birdie two on the first three holes and despite another seven on the inward half, he managed to stave off the challenge of McCreadie and claim the Order of Merit title.
