Learn how your body is keeping you from a near perfect swing
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Widely acknowledged as one of the leading golf fitness swing trainers in the United States, Mike Pedersen is sharing his secrets to a better golf swing. A certified fitness professional for 22 years, Pedersen has a degree in Exercise Physiology from Oregon State University. He has worked exclusively with golfers for the past 10 years teaching and training thousands, including golf professionals and fitness trainers, on how to improve their golf swings and is the author of the best selling e-book, The Ultimate Golf Fitness Guide.
Pedersen comes from an athletic background with a career that spans more than 30 years. It culminated in Track and Field where he was regionally (PAC 10) and nationally ranked in the javelin from 1982 to 1987 and was All-PAC 10 in 1983.
After graduating from Oregon State University, he moved on to decathlon competition and was a nationally-ranked decathlete for Canada from 1987 to 1989. When his track-and-field career wound down, Pedersen picked up golf recreationally, and then became obsessed with the game.
"I bought every video, took every lesson I could, and read books to understand the golf swing," said Pedersen. "At first, I began studying the golf swing just to improve my own game and now I can consistently drive the ball more than 300 yards and I have a single-digit handicap."
Later on Pedersen began applying his knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics of the swing to the individual golfers he worked with.
After years of working with his team of golf swing trainers and fitness experts, he developed the customized online golf fitness program trademarked the Power Performance Programâ?¢. Now he has developed and produced the most cutting-edge Golf Fitness DVDs on the market. The Ultimate Golf Fitness System DVD is available in three training levels, novice, intermediate and advanced. Consumers can also get the System in an all-in-one package that includes all three DVDs, a 370-page golf training manual and a Perform Better Golf Ball Cleaner with a savings of more than $200.
Pedersen is a featured golf fitness expert for Golf Magazine’s Web site golfonline.com, PGA.com, and golfillustrated.com; he’s written more than 200 articles that have appeared in numerous magazines, (including Pub Links Golfer, Arizona Golfer, and Men’s Health), journals and newspapers worldwide. Pedersen has also been the featured guest on several golf radio shows including ESPN Radio and is featured on Pure Golf talk radio on XM satellite radio.
