MARIETTA, Ga. – Entries are now being accepted for the Georgia Team Championship, which takes place October 28-29 at The Georgia Club in Statham. This event is open to four-man teams of male amateur golfers who are Georgia residents and selected by their GSGA Member Club.
The format of the event is one round of four-ball stroke play and one round of best three out of four stroke play. Last year, Lanier Golf Club continued its dominance in this event by winning its second-straight title and seventh of the last nine Georgia Team Championships. This will be the second consecutive year that The Georgia Club plays host to the championship.
Qualified teams may enter by going to the GSGA website (www.gsga.org), clicking the Entry Forms quick link and downloading an entry form as a PDF file. Completed entry forms should be mailed to the GSGA. The deadline for entries is Wednesday, October 4 at 5:00 p.m.
The entry period is also currently open for the Atlanta Amateur Match Play Championship (through September 13) and the Georgia Women’s Team Championship (also through September 13).
