Autographed Ken Climo shoe slated for 2007
REDMOND, Wash. — Bite Footwear, a leader in comfortable performance shoes and sandals, recently signed Ken Climo, the world’s top professional disc golfer. Bite introduced the sport’s first footwear specifically designed for disc golfers to the United States market in July releasing the Distance High and Distance Low. Climo wore Bite’s Distance Lows when he captured his 12th World Championship title in Augusta Aug. 12.
As part of this groundbreaking footwear line, Bite plans to offer an autographed Ken Climo shoe in 2007. Climo will be actively involved in the product development of this new shoe.

Climo’s dominance in the sport is undeniable. The Clearwater, Fla., native has recorded 12 World Championship titles, nine of which are consecutive – a record which is likely to never be broken. He is also a four-time U.S. Champion. The Professional Disc Golf Association has named Climo its "Player of the Year" an impressive seven times, and he is the all-time leader of both points and money earned on the Pro Tour.
Disc golf is very similar to traditional golf. Instead of using a club to hit a small white ball, disc golfers throw a disc from a designated tee-pad toward a metal basket with hanging chains called a "pole hole" or a natural target like a tree or rock. While it can be played solo, disc golf is primarily a group activity. As with traditional golf each hole has a par.

According to the Professional Disc Golf Association, there are 50 new disc golf courses being developed every year America. With the affordability, accessibility (most courses are housed on public parks), and social nature, disc golf carries wide appeal amongst people of all ages and abilities.
