Hershey, PA – Whether you’re a golfing couple or a couple of avid golfers, Hershey Resorts has a golf getaway that even its most famous twosome – Hall of Fame club pros Ben Hogan and Henry Picard – would have enjoyed.
Pairing its two classic golf courses with all the holes a couple can squeeze into one day, the Hershey Classic Golf Package includes:
Deluxe accommodations at either Hershey Lodge or The Hotel Hershey
Unlimited golf at Hershey Country Club, on the East or West course on the date of your stay
Complimentary golf cart for the first 18 holes, one cart per twosome
Unlimited practice range balls
Admission to Hershey Gardens and Hershey Museum
Available September 4 through December 31, the Classic Golf Package is priced from $170 per person, based on double adult occupancy and excludes tax and gratuities. Other restrictions may apply.
This fall, Picard will become the second Hershey head golf professional inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Picard served as head professional at Hershey Country Club from 1934 to 1941, with the legendary Hogan following him at Hershey until 1951, when he began his own Hall of Fame playing career.
Since the days of Picard and Hogan, Hershey Country Club has hosted events featuring the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Nationwide Tour players. In 1970, the 7,061-yard East Course designed by George Fazio was opened. In 2006, the $17 million clubhouse renovation was unveiled and the nine-hole Spring Creek Golf Course (formerly the Juvenile Golf Course) was re-opened after a $750,000 renovation.
