Altamonte Springs, FL – Monday, August 28, 2006 – Rife Putters would like to congratulate the 21 players on the Champions and PGA Tours whose combined earnings totaled $798,879.16 at The JELD WEN Tradition Championship (A Champions Tour Major Event), The WGC Bridgestone Invitational and The Reno Tahoe Open this past weekend.
For the 2nd week in a row, Rife Putters finished 2nd on the Darrell Survey at The JELD WEN Tradition Championship ahead of 14 other companies including Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping, and Never Compromise. Rife’s GR6 Series Aussie Blade putter just barely missed capturing the victory and finished 2nd in a playoff.
Other notable finishes at The JELD WEN Tradition included a T-4th Place Finish with a Rife Island Series Antigua putter, and three other Top 10 Finishes; an 8th Place Finish with a Rife Island Series Cayman putter, a T-9th Place Finish with a Rife Two Bar Blade putter, and another T-9th Place Finish with a Rife Island Series Martinique putter.
Combined earnings for the JELD WEN Tradition Championship were $546,174.99 for the event, accounting for nearly 22% of the total purse. In the past two weeks on the Champions Tour, Rife has had combined earnings of $910,906.42.
Rife’s success continued on the PGA Tour this past weekend as well as they had 7 putters in play at The WGC Bridgestone Invitational and Reno Tahoe Open. Rife’s GR6 Series and new Island Series of putters have been extremely popular with the PGA Tour players over the past six weeks and combined earnings from The British Open through the WGC Bridgestone Invitational now total $913,576.17!
A true testament to the advantage that Rife’s RollGroove Technology provides is the fact that the Tour Player with the #1 Ranking in both Putting Average (1.704) and Putts Per Round (27.73) on the PGA Tour right now is rolling a Rife GR6 Series Aussie Blade putter!
Rife’s new GR6 and Island Series of high-end fully CNC milled putters offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology as the popular Two Bar putter but with a more classic design. The new Island Series of putters is scheduled to be introduced to the public in 2007.
About Rife Putters
Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
