(RIDGEFIELD, Connecticut) – Advancing its rapidly-growing global presence, Boccieri Golf has named authorized distributors of its popular, TOUR-proven Heavy Putter in Korea, Benelux and Central America.
Following a comprehensive search process, Gunja Industries (Korea), Benelgo (Belgium / Netherlands / Luxemborg) and Duran Golf (Central America) were awarded their distributorships based on their unique and proven abilities to pioneer new golf brands in their respective markets. All three companies have already lined up substantial orders from on- and off-course retailers which have received a high volume of requests for the Heavy Putter from golfers.
The new appointments raise the total number of active Heavy Putter distributors to roughly 25 worldwide, including golf-rich markets Japan, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Canada and key European countries. Boccieri Golf will soon announce similar alliances in additional overseas markets.
As part of multi-year agreements, distributors dedicate percentages of their Heavy Putter sales revenue to the continued marketing and promotion of the putter’s superiority. In addition, they work closely with retailers to monitor and uphold the integrity of the Heavy Putter brand.
"Good word about the Heavy Putter’s winning edge among the TOUR and recreational-golfer ranks has spread like wildfire in the U.S. and abroad," says Stephen Boccieri, inventor of the Heavy Putter and President / CEO of Boccieri Golf. "We knew we needed to make it easy for golfers to purchase the Heavy Putter, and we elected premier, international distributors to do so."
To support global markets, Boccieri Golf is executing a seven-figure infomercial and print-advertising campaign to explain the revolutionary technology.
Since Boccieri Golf’s much-talked-about launch in January 2005, golfers are pronouncing the Heavy Putter Original and Matte Series as the first putter innovation in decades that’s changing how the sport is played – much like the paradigm shifts that occurred with the advent of metal woods, oversized tennis rackets and parabolic skis.
The Heavy Putter’s radical shift in putter concept, design and revolutionary technology automatically works with the physiology of golfers’ bodies to cure putting ills by virtually ensuring proper, stable, and consistent pendulum strokes for instant, significantly improved results.
An unprecedented counter-balance theory of a heavier mass head mass and heavier grip causes greater stability in the putting stroke and tightens the end-over-end roll of the golf ball. In addition to 450- to 550-gram head mass (conventional putter heads are roughly 330 to 350 grams), a unique Weight Management System (WMS) – a 250-gram weight installed in the grip end of the putter – produces a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters.
The Heavy Putter triggers golfers’ bodies to instinctively activate their larger, more stable muscles during the putting stoke. This prevents wrist breakdown and creates greater stability and consistency throughout the stroke. The Heavy Putter comes with adjustable tip weights for golfers to fine tune the balance point of their putters to match their unique release characteristics.
The combination of the heavier mass head, the WMS and the adjustable tip weights permits golfers to have a more consistent swing path, uniform pace and precise distance and directional control.
Boccieri Golf’s new Heavy Putter Matte Series putters feature the same, revolutionary weighting technology as the original Heavy Putter, but the Matte Series head is finished in sleek, dark gray and is combined with a satin colored shaft and Winn mid-size grip.
In addition to the difference in appearance, the Heavy Putter Matte Series carries a lower price than the Heavy Putter Original Series. This is due to the Heavy Putter’s dramatic rise in popularity, resulting in production efficiencies and cost savings passed along to retailers and consumers. The new Matte Series is $199, including the adjustable tip-weight kit, and available models include:
A1-M – blade-style head with a center-mounted shaft
A2-M – blade-style head with a heel-mounted, full-offset plumber’s neck hosel
A3-M – blade-style head with a heel-mounted, double-bend shaft
B1-M – mallet-style head with a center-mounted shaft
B2-M – mallet-style head with a heel-mounted, full-offset plumber’s neck hosel
B3-M – mallet-style head with a heel-mounted, double-bend shaft
The Heavy Putter Original Series, with a shinier finish, is available in the same models.
Various standard, mid and long-putter lengths are available for men and women, some in both right- and left-handed models.
More About the Heavy Putter by Boccieri Golf
In addition to its revolutionary and scientific weight theory, the Heavy Putter boasts the highest-quality, advanced-design principles in putters:
C
NC milled from 303 Stainless Steel (304 in Matte Series), a very soft metal that creates a soft putting feel
Perimeter heel-to-toe weighting, creating a high Moment of Inertia (resistance to twisting) for better distance control, and straighter and more accurate putts
Face-balanced heads that make it easier to square the putter head at impact
Diamond-cut, patterned faces that optimize the golf ball’s roll and impart a soft feel at impact
"Surround Sight" semi-circle alignment aids — exclusive to the Heavy Putter — located behind the face promote on-center hits and a tighter deviation of sweet spot impact versus lines or dots
The celebrated roster of Heavy Putter endorsers also includes Champions TOUR player and The Golf Channel analyst Mark Lye, renowned instructors Eddie Merrins and Mitchell Spearman and LPGA TOUR Hall of Fame member Carol Mann.
