The Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society Announces Education Achievements

Louisville, KY – The Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society, an international, independent association headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky whose mission is to foster, promote, and elevate the art of professional golf club fitting and repair, is proud to announce that certificates of achievement were awarded to several individuals who successfully completed the PCS Advanced Fitting School held August 16-18 at the association’s international headquarters in Louisville.

Those clubmakers receiving certificates were Al Stroup, Parrot Golf, Sterling Heights, Mich., Anthony Maglio, AGEM Golf, Novato, Calif., Bill Foster, Ultimate Golf/Golf USA, Port Charlotte, Fla., Bob Carpenter, Golf Clubs by Design, Hollister, Calif., Debbie Hall Friede and Kristen Werner both of Nike Golf, Beaverton, Ore., Jeffrey Rennert, The Club Repair, Vero Beach, Fla., Jim Ogier, Jim Ogier Golf, Columbus, Ohio, Mark Schmitt, SandTrap Golf, Tipp City, Ohio, Rick Canter, Rick’s Grips and Club Repair, Stoughton, Mass., and Snap Smith, Tampa Golf, Tamp, Fla.

The three-day Advanced Fitting School included discussions on golf club equipment specifications and also covered equipment comparisons using the PCS swing analysis, launch monitor and club fitting data to assist golf clubmakers with recommendations to build finished clubs.

"The Advanced Fitting School is integral to the enjoyment of the art of golf clubmaking and ultimately playing better golf," said Bob Dodds, PCS executive technical director, and an Advanced Professional "Class A" Clubmaker. "We are pleased that our attendees found the school to be a valuable experience."

The next PCS Advanced Fitting School is scheduled for October 16-18. Registration is $375 for PCS members, and non-PCS members are invited to attend for a fee of $475 that includes an introductory one-year membership to the PCS. Included in the registration fee is three days of instruction and lunch each day. PGA Professionals will receive In-Service points for attending the school. In addition, all attendees will receive a DVD on the club fitting process as well as other merchandise.
