ATLANTA – September 5, 2006 Srixon Staff Professional Robert Allenby tied for fourth place at the Deutsche Bank Championship on Sunday, September 4 at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts. Allenby, armed with the Srixon W-403 driver, W-403 3-wood and 5-wood, I-506 irons, Forged Wedges and Z-UR golf ball, shot a 7-under par, 277 total (70-66-73-68) He moved up nine spots to 48th on the 2006 PGA Tour money list and is 36th in Official World Golf Rankings. It was his third Top 10 of the season.

Allenby provided dramatic fireworks during Saturday’s second round. His 66 featured a torrid stretch in which he went birdie-ace-birdie-birdie. After making 25 foot birdie putt on the 15th hole, Allenby came to the 215 yard par-3 16th hole. His 4-iron never left the flag and hopped into the cup for the ace. It was his 4th career hole-in-one and he wasn’t done yet. He followed up the ace with a 10 footer for birdie on 17 followed by a 20 footer for birdie on 18 to go 5-under par on the final 4 holes of the back 9 (his front 9 that day).

He is currently ranked first on Tour in the important all-around ranking which is reflective of his overall solid play and ball striking consistency all year. He also ranks fifth in total driving which is a combination of distance and accuracy. Allenby is one of only 10 players to have made the cut in all four majors this year.

Srixon Staff Professionals have amassed 31 Top 10s on the PGA TOUR this season including Jim Furyk’s win at the Wachovia Championship and John Rollins’ victory at the B.C. Open.
