On the Champions Tour…at the First Tee Open at Pebble Beach…Long-time Cleveland staffer and heckuva nice guy, Scott Simpson shot a bogey-free, 4-under 68, to claim his first title on the tour. Simpson used a Launcher Comp driver (8.5º), a Launcher Steel fairway wood #3 (13º), CG2 irons (3-PW) and CG10 wedges (54º & 58º). Cleveland Golf also won the "Sand, Lob & Approach Wedge Count" with 52 wedges and the "All Wedge Count" with 60 wedges.
On the Nationwide Tour…at the Legend Financial Group Classic…the winner used a 588 LW (60º). Cleveland Golf’s "red-hot" Boo Weekley finished two strokes back in 3rd place. Weekley’s finish was a continuation of his excellent play of late, finishing inside the top-10 in seven of his last 12 starts. He used a HiBORE (10.5º), a HiBORE #3 (15º), CG1 irons (6-PW), TA7 irons (#4-5), CG10 wedges (52º & 58º) and a Never Compromise GM2 Exchange putter. Cleveland Golf also won the "Utility Iron Count" with 3 LDI.
On the PGA TOUR…at the Deutsche Bank Championship…Vijay Singh carried an "All-Cleveland & Never Compromise" bag and lost in a hard-fought battle finishing two-strokes back. Singh used a Launcher Comp driver, Launcher Steel fairway woods (13º & 19º), CG1 irons (3-PW), 900 wedges (54º & 60º) and a Never Compromise Milled Series putter.
On the LPGA…at the State Farm Classic…the winner used a Never Compromise Voodoo putter. Cleveland staffer Brittany Lang had a great tournament, finishing tied for sixth. Lang used a Launcher Comp (10.5º), a Launcher Steel (17º), CG2 (#3-9), 588 wedges (47º, 51º, 56º & 60º) and a Never Compromise Milled Series putter.
