POWAY, Calif. – Aldila, Inc. posted it’s second highest count total of any shaft company on the Nationwide Tour this year during the Legend Financial Group Classic held in Highland Heights, Ohio Aug. 31 through Sept. 3. The highest shaft count recorded on the Nationwide Tour in 2006 remains the 139 Aldila shafts that were in play at the BMW Charity Pro-Am at the Cliffs.
Aldila had 138 wood shafts in play last week, 50 percent more shafts in play than the number two company on the Tour. The Aldila NVâ?¢ Hybrid 85 was the single most popular shaft and the combination of the Aldila NVâ?¢ and VS Protoâ?¢ accounted for nearly 30 percent of the total wood shafts in play this week.
Aldila also dominated the hybrid count with the highest count recorded this year on Tour breaking their standing record of 55 hybrid shafts in play at an event. This was nearly three times as many hybrid shafts in play as the number two company had.
The VS Protoâ?¢ has four tour wins this season including the U.S. Open. It features Next Generation Micro Laminate Technologyâ?¢ combined with Aldila’s proprietary A65 Performance Resin System, using advanced high modulus graphite fibers, all synthesized into Micro Laminate Technologyâ?¢. The VS Protoâ?¢ offers unparalleled performance, feel and consistency. It’s the straightest, longest shaft Aldila has ever offered.
Aldila is a leader among manufacturers of high performance graphite golf shafts used in clubs assembled and marketed throughout the world by major golf club companies, component distributors and custom clubmakers.
