September 8, 2006

West End, NC – Due to flooding, the 13th North Carolina Mid-Amateur Championship has been moved from River Landing in Wallace, NC to Jacksonville Country Club in Jacksonville, NC. The championship dates remain the same on September 15-17.

The CGA would like to express its deepest gratitude to Jacksonville Country Club and its membership for assisting the CGA in a very tough situation.

Jacksonville is only 40 miles away from Wallace.

Also, the CGA would like to thank Statesville Country Club in Statesville, NC and Gates Four Country Club in Fayetteville, NC for offering their facilities to host the event at the last minute.

Competitors who successfully qualified or are exempt into the championship proper and have withdrawn from the event can remove the withdrawal and compete in the championship. In addition, players that are unable to compete at the new site should inform the CGA office as soon as possible at 910-673-1000. Updated player information will be sent to players and posted on the CGA web site.

For more information contact the Carolinas Golf Association at 910-673-1000 or www.carolinasgolf.org.
