Accu-Length PGA Show Booth #419
LEAWOOD, KANSAS (Sept. 8, 2006) – The bright lights of Las Vegas will be shining squarely on Accu-Length when the revolutionary company introduces a new golf club and a new fitting center for qualified retailers at the PGA Fall Expo on Sept. 13 and 14 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Convention Center.
In a town where gambling is the dominant activity, Accu-Length’s one-of-a-kind expandable junior golf clubs will definitely be one of the safest bets around.
Accu-Length is making sure the odds will be on the sides of junior golfers with the introduction of its first hybrid, the Accu-Length 4/5 Hybrid. The club, which is designed to replace a 4-iron or 5-iron, will be available in colors that coordinate with Accu-Length’s 1000 (yellow), 2000 (red) and 3000 (gray) Series. The hybrid, which is made of filament wound graphite shaft with a stainless steel head and 29° loft, has a MSRP of $39.99. The Accu-Length 4/5 hybrid comes with assembly tools, with spacers sold separately, and easily fits the new POP display.
"Hybrids are easier to hit than long irons, which is why junior golfers will benefit greatly from our new 4/5 model," says Rick Rutter, President, COO and Founder of OnTrack Sports, LLC, makers of Accu-Length, the only Expandable Junior Golf Clubs. "The 4/5 Hybrid enables players to handle any type of condition. Like our name implies, they’ll do it accurately and be able to hit the ball with substantial length."
Accu-Length’s new fitting centers are also substantial – in the value they offer retailers who take part in the program. In order to qualify, retailers have to purchase a minimum amount of inventory at a special discount that’s available through Accu-Length. After taking and passing a test that shows the retailers know the intricacies and the outstanding assets of Accu-Length products, they’ll receive a banner to display in their stores, as well as a sticker and certificate, showing they’re an authorized Accu-Length fitter. During the 2-year period of authorization, retailers will receive special discounts and offers regarding Accu-Length’s products.
The fitting center program isn’t the only value-added Accu-Length is introducing at the Fall Expo. The company will announce a new pricing strategy for retailers. Interested parties are invited to stop by Accu-Length’s Booth No. 419 to discuss the details with company representatives. The hours are 8:30 am-5 pm Wednesday and 10 am-4 pm Thursday.
"Accu-Length is committed to doing everything it can to foster strong and long-lasting relationships with our partners, and having authorized fitting centers and improved pricing strategies are just part of those efforts," says Rutter. "Accu-Length has moved to the forefront of the junior club market not just because our products are remarkable, but also because our selling policies are strong. We intend to remain committed to both of those courses."
That’s evident by the Accu-Length’s recent sales expansion, both in the national and international markets. In the U.S., Golfsmith and The Golf Warehouse lead the list of domestic distributors to sell golf clubs and associated Accu-Length products. Golf USA, Roger Dunn’s, Wally’s in Texas, and the new PGA Superstores have also joined forces with Accu-Length to sell the products, which features the one-of-a-kind spacer system that enables the clubs to grow with the child.
Accu-Length has also been extremely successful outside the U.S., particularly within the last few months. It has signed international distributor agreements with DMT Sports of South Africa; Tee Off of Oslo, Norway; Jason Golf in Korea; Bag Boy in Japan; Sports Life Asia in China and Red Rock Sport in Ireland.
Accu-Length has rapidly moved to the forefront of the junior golf club market because of its one-of-a-kind spacer system, which enables the club to lengthen and grow as the child grows, thereby eliminating the need to constantly purchase new clubs year in and year out. Over a 5-year period, that equates to a savings of up to $600.
Savings are only one important reason why parents are finding that Accu-Length’s custom fit clubs are the right fit for their youngsters. Accu-Length’s expandable club technology creates consistency in their swings for juniors that has long been so important to adult golfers. This helps junior golfers develop a repeatable swing motion and muscle memory which produces more consistent swings, resulting in straighter shots, longer hits, lower scores and most importantly, a more enjoyable golf experience for kids.
Accu-Length’s Expandable Junior Golf Clubs were ranked second – out of 16 companies – on Golf Digest’s Hot List of Junior Golf Sets, in the magazine’s August 2006 edition. Accu-Length clubs were also named Best New Equipment Product at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
