3DX is the Winningest Hybrid on the 2006 PGA and Nationwide Tours

ANCASTER, Ont – For the second time this year, a Nickent 3DX hybrid played a big role in leading the #2 player in the world to victory on the PGA Tour.
With his trusty 20-degree 3DX Ironwood, the winner of the Canadian Open out-dueled the 2nd place finisher, another Nickent hybrid user, to claim his 10th Top Five finish of the year. The win made him one of the world’s hottest golfers going into the Ryder Cup. His six-birdie round Sunday at the 6,983-yard Hamilton Golf and Country Club sealed the win. He has now finished no worse than 4th in six of his past seven starts.
"Hopefully I can keep riding the wave," said the Canadian Open champ. "To win the third-oldest national championship in the world on this course, it’s just a very proud moment for me. I hit some loose shots and was fighting my swing just a little bit. But I’m proud that I’m able to find a way to get the ball into the hole and hang around and score."
Nickent was also filled with pride after the player’s gritty performance.
"We are very proud that we have been in the bag of this great champion all season in what has been a career year for the player," said Nickent CEO Michael Lee. "He has made the 3DX line of hybrids one of the most high profile hybrids on the PGA Tour and the #1 ranking hybrid in the world. I want to make sure to say thank you and send a huge congratulations to him for such an amazing season."
The win made Nickent hybrids the winningest on the PGA and Nationwide Tours combined in 2006 with 8 victories. The 1-2 Nickent finish allowed the hybrid maker who calls themselves the King of Hybrids â?¢, to top all other manufacturers in victories and in total top 10’s earned on the 2006 PGA and Nationwide tours, despite not having a stable of staff players like the competition they are up against.
"There’s no question the best player won the tournament," said the 2nd place finisher, who used a Nickent 3DX DC Ironwood and pushed the eventual champion all day. "There’s not many better players in the world right now."
