Altamonte Springs, FL – Monday, September 11, 2006 – Rife Putters would like to congratulate the T-5th Place and T-14th Place Finishers on their success this past weekend at The Canadian Open on the PGA Tour.
It looked as though Rife was going to capture the victory after Day 3 as the Tour Player, using his Rife Island Series Barbados putter, shot 65 and took a one shot lead going into Sunday’s Championship round. The Tour Player has already had several wins on the European Tour and was looking for his first victory on the PGA Tour as he entered the final round of The Canadian Open. With five players bunched up at the top of the leader board for most of the day it appeared that it was going to take a low score to capture the victory. The tournament leader after Round 3 played a solid round of golf but struggled with bogies on a few holes that ultimately cost him the victory. "He’s an extremely talented player," said Matt Molloy, COO of Rife Putters. "We know it’s just a matter of time before he breaks through and starts winning on the PGA Tour."
The T-5th Place Finisher, using a Rife Island Series Antigua putter, began the final round on Sunday T-14th but got off to a quick start as he ran off five birdies in the first seven holes and started moving up the leader board. He fired a final round score of 66 which earned him a Top 5 Finish and a paycheck of $169,500.00 for the event. "We’re very excited to be working with him," said Molloy, of the T-5th Place Finisher. "He’s one of the most consistent players on the Tour. That’s why he’s currently #11 on The Money List. He’s always in contention. He’s gained a lot more confidence in his putting since he picked up the Antigua a few weeks ago. We’re looking forward to some big things from him before the year is over."
Rife’s GR6 Series and new Island Series of putters have been extremely popular with the PGA Tour players over the past eight weeks and combined earnings from The British Open through the Canadian Open now total over $1.5 Million Dollars! As a matter of fact, right now 7 of the Top 100 Money List Earners on the PGA Tour are using a Rife putter!
A true testament to the advantage that Rife’s RollGroove Technology provides is the fact that the Tour Player with the #1 Ranking in both Putting Average (1.714) and Putts Per Round (27.87) on the PGA Tour right now is rolling a Rife GR6 Series Aussie Blade putter!
Rife’s 2 Bar Line, GR6 and Island Series of high-end fully CNC milled putters all offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology and patent pending Lie-Aline Fitting System.
About Rife Putters
Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
