Portsmouth, NH – With the 34th Ryder Cup quickly approaching, both Team Europe and Team U.S.A. have finalized rosters for the competitive match to be held at the K Club in Kildare Ireland on September 22, 2006.
The Hi-Tec Ryder Cup Captain, Ian Woosnam, picked his wildcards, which proved a tough decision. Woosnam opted for Darren Clarke (Ire) and Lee Westwood (Eng) to complete his 12 man team which includes players: Paul Casey, Luke Donald, Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington, David Howell, Robert Karlsson, Paul McGinley, Colin Montgomerie, José Maria Olazábal and Henrik Stenson.
Hi-Tec Golf is proud to announce that both Captain Ian Woosnam and Padraig Harrington will be wearing new models from the 2007 Collection. Woosnam will be wearing the all new C2 Comfort and Padraig Harrington will be sporting the new CDT® Superpower Tour available in the shops this February.
The K Club in Ireland is said to be maicured for stellar "gambling" conditions. When the 34th Ryder Cup takes center stage next month, European vice-captain Des Smyth says the players won’t see the brutal conditions of the U.S. Open or weather-driven scores of the British Open.
"Ireland is well known for their challenging golf courses and what they offer in both good and bad weather conditions. Hi-Tec is known for what we offer golfers in footwear to play in these unpredictable conditions. Top technologies will provide Padraig a benefit of extra traction, stability, and comfort while playing. Ian will have the added comfort he will need as he is traveling the course to watch his team", states Brian Bednarek, Director of Golf, U.S.A.
No matter what the course conditions are one sure thing is that Woosnam and Harrington will be wearing shoes that will give them an advantage combining the CDT® Technology and the ultimate comfort that Hi-Tec is well known for providing.
