OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. – The Resort at Squaw Creek, a Destination Hotels & Resorts property located at the base of Squaw Valley USA, has released a "Chipping into Fall" package promotion available through Nov. 16.

The first 100 purchasers of the package will receive a free Mizuno MP T Series Chrome Wedge, which retails for $140. The wedge took home "best value" honors from the publication’s testers in a recent GOLF Magazine club test.

For only $179 per night, the stay-and-play package features:

two-for-one greens fees

nightly accommodations in a fireplace suite

breakfast for two each morning, and

one free Mizuno chrome wedge to each party

The two-for-one greens fees offer is good only on rounds played Monday through Thursday until the course closes for the season in mid-October. Thereafter, package purchasers will receive a rain check allowing for two-for-one greens fees (Mon.-Thurs.) from opening of next year’s golf season through July 12, 2007.

North Lake Tahoe’s fall weather is hard to top with daytime highs typically in the mid- to low 70s and nighttime lows in the mid- to high 30s — great for golf, ideal for relaxing in front of a fireplace.

Resort at Squaw Creek, a perennial AAA Four-Diamond award winning property, recently completed a dramatic $53 million renovation, including significant upgrades to all 405 residential-style guestrooms and suites.

The resort’s 6,931-yard Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed links-style layout, located in the pristine Squaw Valley meadow, is a prime example of the natural blend of golf and mountain settings. The course has been honored as one of the top resort courses in northern California by Golf Today and listed in Golf Digest’s "Best Places to Play" course directory.

In addition to golf, recreation abounds for guests at Resort at Squaw Creek, including:

25-meter heated swimming pool, three hot tubs, kiddy pool and plunge pool with 120-foot water slide

two outdoor tennis courts

world-class trails for mountain biking, hiking and backpacking

fly fishing in the nearby streams, lakes and tributaries

Lake Tahoe activities to include jet skiing, boating, water skiing, kayaking, and beach access.

Reservations and/or more information about the "Chipping into Fall at Resort at Squaw Creek" package are available by calling 800/401-9501or visiting www.squawcreek.com . Reservations are based on availability, and some restrictions may apply. Daily taxes and resort fees are not included in the package price.
