PALM COAST, Fla., September 12, 2006 – Ocean Hammock Golf Club, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course at Ocean Hammock Resort, holds a solid position at #78 in GOLF Magazine’s recently published list of the America’s "Top 100 You Can Play." A panel comprised of PGA section directors, regional golf association directors, golf writers and other respected members of the golf community voted on the "Top 100 You Can Play" from a list of more than 400 daily-fee, resort, and semi-private courses nominated by the editors of GOLF Magazine. The 2006 list appears in the September issue of the magazine.

Ocean Hammock is a 7,201-yard, par 72 that opened in December of 2000. The golf course features six holes that overlook the Atlantic Ocean and is renown for the "Bear’s Claw" – the 15th through 18th holes that comprise an exceptional finishing quartet.
Located along Florida’s northeast coastline between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, Ocean Hammock was Florida’s first true oceanfront course to open in more than 70 years, receiving high praises from everyday players and champions alike. Throughout the property, Nicklaus maintained the elevated mounds of scrub oak and native brush called "hammocks" to create natural ocean barriers and used native coquina sand to mold the distinctive cinnamon-colored bunkers. The Nicklaus Design team and Ocean Hammock’s developers managed to seamlessly blend a superior set of golf holes, a vibrant resort and a unique residential community with the indigenous pristine environment.
