First of its kind teaching facility incorporates instructional facilities with short course, chipping and putting areas and a fully lit driving range
Arlington, TX 15th September, 2006 – Jim McLean Golf Schools, with ten locations throughout the U.S., Canada, Spain and The Bahamas, announced the opening of their new premier golf facility, The Jim McLean Golf Center at Waterchase. School founder and 1994 PGA Teacher of the Year, Jim McLean, built this state-of-the-art golf center to meet the increasing demands of golfers.
The 48 acre Training Center includes fully lit practice range, with seven target greens; a 11,000 sq. ft. short game area complete with a bent grass putting green as well as a three tier practice bunker. Adjacent to the driving range is the Legends Scoring Nine, designed in conjunction with the Tom Fazio Golf Course Design Team. The Legends Scoring Nine creates a unique practice course offering unlimited shot possibilities.
In addition to the lessons offered by all the McLean’s leading golf instructors the Center incorporates a mental golf expert, a groundbreaking putting rink and a fully functional restaurant. McLean added, "It has been a dream of mine to develop a facility that can cater to the needs of every golfer, irrespective of their skill level or individual needs. The Jim McLean Golf Center at WaterChase realizes that dream."
The facility offers a wide variety of multi-dimensional training aides that are specifically designed for the junior golfer. McLean explained, "Having watched my children develop through junior golf, I realize the tremendous value of good fundamental golf teaching and wanted to make sure that this facility was able to accommodate those needs."
The Jim McLean Golf Center at Waterchase is open year-round. For hours of operation or for more information on golf lessons or tee times visit www.JimMclean.com or call (817) 330-4370.
