REDMOND, Wash. – Bite Footwear, manufacturer of the best biomechanical, performance golf footwear, was the number one selling shoe at the 2006 PGA Tour Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Aug 28 to Sept. 1.
Bite featured their footwear at the event’s tradeshow, the "World’s Largest 19th Hole" at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The "Bitemobile", Bite’s mobile footwear trailer, was at the event to help provide personalized fitting and on location promotion of consumer foot heath. Bite’s commitment to foot health is just one of many reasons why they were ranked #1 in comfort and performance among all golf brands in the 2005 Darrell Survey for Consumers.
"It was indeed an honor to be teamed with one of the leading golf retailers, the PGA Tour Superstore, for this exciting event," said Dale Bathum, Founder Bite Footwear. "We are continually striving to provide our customers with the most comfortable and performance-oriented golf footwear available. We were extremely delighted to see that when giving the opportunity that customers continue to choose the extreme comfort of Bite shoes.
The Annual PGA Tour Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship is a 72-hole tournament played on 66 Myrtle Beach area golf courses each August. Close to 4,000 participants from all 50 states and some 30 foreign countries compete for the right to be crowned "World Amateur Golf Champion" and to win some of the more than $500,000 in prizes given away at the tournament.
