EWGA Foundation Launches Online Auction

Sports Memorabilia, Trips & More Offered to Raise Funds for Golf Education Programs

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., September 15, 2006 – The Executive Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) Foundation has launched an online auction running September 15 through October 15 to raise funds for its golf education and leadership development programs. A wide array of sports memorabilia, golf related items, "stay & play" golf getaways, travel, sports adventures and more await bidders at www.ewgafoundation.cmarket.com

Choose from 2007 tickets to the Solheim Cup to Ritz Carlton Golf Getaways, packages to the Cayman Islands and Kiawah Island, jewelry, an autographed NHL jersey, NASCAR Brickyard 400 Experience to Natural Golf DVDs and an Hole-In-One Pilates Golfer Clinic for 10. The EWGA Foundation online auction offers something for everyone, plus easy-to-use online tools to track your favorite items and watch the bidding action.

"This online auction allows us to offer fabulous items and engage more people throughout the country in supporting our cause," says Karen Furtado, president of the EWGA Foundation Board of Directors. "Our golf education initiatives and leadership development programs benefit women of all ages."

Items may be added throughout the auction time period so interested bidders are encouraged to visit often. Companies and individuals wanting to contribute products, services and other valuable auction items will find a link on the auction site and more information on how to participate in this EWGA Foundation fundraiser.

The EWGA Foundation is a 501© (3) not-for-profit organization formed in 2003 and supported by the Executive Women’s Golf Association. Its mission is to develop premier golf education and leadership development programs for women. The EWGA Foundation and EWGA Chapters throughout the country annual contribute more than $500,000 to a wide range of national and local charities including LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and numerous others.

Since the EWGA was started in 1991, more than 80,000 women have benefited from membership in the organization which is dedicated to providing opportunities for women to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life.
