Provides New Sets Of Cleats For Over 400 Participating Golfers At Four Different Courses In NJ

Gaithersburg, Maryland, September 19, 2006 â?¦ PrideSports, maker of Softspikes®, the world’s leading golf cleat brand, enjoyed a record setting day when Company representatives provided new sets of cleats for over 400 golfers participating in the 2006 COX Charity Classic, held at four golf courses in New Jersey. The COX Classic, which is one of the country’s largest single-day charity golf tournaments, is supported by hundreds of golfers and over 100 corporate sponsors, all coming together to benefit the Tomorrows Children’s Fund, the CJ Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and the Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer.

As part of the event, PrideSports teamed-up with the COX Classic to implement the Cleat Change For Charity Promotion, which invited golfers to pay $10 for a change out into Softspikes Pulsar Cleat, the #1 Cleat on the PGA TOUR, with all proceeds going back to the COX Classic Charities.

"There is no better charity event in the country than the COX Classic, and this Cleat Change For Charity promotion enabled us to put golfers into a fresh set a cleats, and help raise money to benefit three worthy causes in the Tomorrows Children’s Fund, the CJ Foundation for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and the Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer," said Rick Oleksyk, President, Softspikes. "This promotion was a true win-win, as we were able to benefit the charities while improving the comfort and performance of hundreds of golfers through a fresh set of cleats."

"The Cleat Change For Charity was such a natural fit for our event," said Tim Omaggio, Trustee of the Steven A. Cox Foundation. "We provided value for our guests – thanks to the Softspikes team – and raised additional money for the charities in the process."

Oleksyk adds, "With 99% of golf’s 26 million players now wearing plastic cleats, a fresh set of cleats is essential to every golfer’s game, as they are proven to improve traction and comfort during play. However, with today’s Cleat Change for Charity promotion there simply was not a better reason for golfers to change their cleats then to help raise additional funds for the Cox Classic charities.
