Miami, Florida – September 20, 2006 – Doral Golf Resort & Spa, A Marriott Resort, one of the world’s premier golf destinations, today announced that David Loomis has been promoted to Membership Head Golf Professional.
In his new position, Loomis will be responsible for developing and overseeing all membership programs, membership instruction, and membership outings and tournaments. In addition, Loomis will spearhead an initiative to further enhance the junior golf programs offered at Doral. Part of the Doral team since 2005, Loomis most recently served as the Golf Retail Supervisor at the Doral Golf Shop.

Prior to joining the Doral team, Loomis worked at a variety of prestigious courses throughout the country, including The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, FL where he spent two years as Assistant Golf Professional; The Country Club of Jackson, Jackson, MI, where he served as Assistant Golf Professional and The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, Jupiter, FL, where he played a significant role in preparing the club for its grand opening. A graduate of Ferris State University, Loomis is also a PGA Class "A" Professional.
