(HERSHEY, PA) — In recognition of its wide variety of activities and world-class golf facility, Hershey Resorts has been ranked first on the list of "Best Resort for Family Trips" in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region by Travel + Leisure Golf Magazine.

One of the nation’s most popular getaways for families to play together – on and off the golf course — Hershey was the leading point scorer in the family category and the only one to break the 90-point mark, based on the T + L scoring system. The rankings are listed in the current issue of T + L Golf.

This summer Hershey debuted its newly renovated Spring Creek Golf Course, an extraordinary family-friendly, nine-hole layout that features enhanced course routing that improves pace of play. While remaining "beginner-friendly," Spring Creek now plays to 2,200 yards and features two sets of tees to create an 18-hole experience as well. The second nine is 2,416 yards, for an 18-hole, par-66 layout playing to 4,616 yards.

Spring Creek complements Hershey Country Club, which is for the more experienced golf family. Hershey Country Club extends playing privileges to resort guests on both the East Course and West Course.

Besides golf, families can enjoy Hersheypark, Hershey Gardens and Hershey Museum – as well as The Spa At The Hotel Hershey, which features signature chocolate treatments – all within a short distance from the luxurious accommodations at The Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge.

For information call 1-800-HERSHEY or visit the destination’s website at www.HersheyPA.com .
