Claims #1 hybrid and fairway wood on Nationwide Tour
PLANO, TEXAS, September 26, 2006 – With 71 of its hybrids in play at the Oregon Classic, Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) set a new hybrid count record on the Nationwide Tour last week. According to Darrell Survey results, this new hybrid count record smashed the previous record of 61 set by Adams Golf three weeks ago at the Legend Financial Group Classic.
"It seems each week we’re setting new records on the Nationwide Tour with our hybrids and that’s very gratifying for our entire company," said Chip Brewer, Adams Golf CEO. "What’s even more exciting is the increasing number of Nationwide Tour pros who are playing hybrids, whether it be ours or from another manufacturer. It just proves that the way the game is played is changing, from the best players down to the casual weekend golfers. There were 154 players at the Oregon Classic and the total number of hybrids played at the event was 152. As a leader in the hybrid category, we love seeing numbers like those."
By claiming more than 46% of the total hybrids in play at the event, Adams Golf dominated the hybrid category and ranked #1 for the tenth time in the last 11 tournaments. The Idea hybrid is currently the #1 hybrid brand on the Nationwide Tour in 2006, according to Darrell Survey results. The Redline RPM and RPM Low Profile fairway woods were the most-played fairway woods on the Nationwide Tour last week.
