Statement by Craig Reid, Four Seasons Regional Vice President and General Manager
Irving, Texas – Tuesday, September 26, 2006 – We are all deeply saddened at the news of Byron Nelson’s death. Our relationship with Mr. Nelson spanned more than 20 years as one of our greatest supporters, a club member, a mentor and the namesake and inspiration for all of those who work to achieve the humanitarian goals of the EDS Byron Nelson Championship.
His moral character was defined by his Christian faith, his integrity, his humility, his honesty and his genuine regard for others. He inspired all of us who knew him to be better individuals.
Our commitment as we go forward with our future business and our role as host site of his tournament is to do everything we can to conduct ourselves in a way that would make him proud and worthy of representing his legacy.
