Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (September 27, 2006) – For the 17th time in 25 years ProQuip Weatherwear made its mark in Ryder Cup competition, this time keeping the European Team dry and comfortable in the often rainy weather conditions last week at The K Club in County Kildare, Ireland.
ProQuip, which was chosen as the Preferred Weatherwear Provider for the 2006 European Ryder Cup Team, created a custom version of their new, lightweight and silent Silk Touch range of waterproofs for the European side. The exclusively-designed navy blue rainsuit was trimmed in royal blue and a deep yellow, the colors of the European team and The European Union.
The European team members relied on their ProQuip waterproofs throughout the Ryder Cup week in Ireland, most noticeably on Saturday morning during the internationally televised four-ball matches played in intermittent rain and, at times, heavy showers.
