ATLANTA, GA (Sept. 21, 2006) – U.S. Kids Golf is now accepting nominations for the 2006 class of "America’s Top 50 Kids Teachers."
"U.S. Kids Golf’s Top 50 Kids Teachers are golf professionals who have made a commitment to helping kids not only improve their golf skills, but also develop a love of golf that lasts far beyond their days in junior golf," said Dan Van Horn, founder and president of U.S. Kids Golf. "The contributions of professionals who focus their time and energy on developing youth are often overlooked. We believe this recognition is well deserved and long overdue."
Nominations for the 2006 class of teachers will be accepted through Oct. 31. Nominations can be completed online at www.uskidsgolf.com (click on Learning the Game). The selection criteria include teaching as well as success in organizing and administering youth programs.
The top 50 teachers will be recognized during a special ceremony at the 2007 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. Information about the professionals selected will be featured on the U.S. Kids Golf Web site (www.uskidsgolf.com) to help youngsters and parents find teachers in their area whose programs focus on youth.
The 2005 class of top 50 teachers included professionals from throughout the U.S. who work at public, private, resort and municipal courses.
