Mitchell Golf Announces Partners Program To Bring Tour Performance Upgrades To Golfers

October 4, 2006

Mitchell® Golf Equipment Company, Dayton, Ohio announces the launch of its new Partners Program. The Mitchell® Partners Program is a marketing plan of "Recognized" Mitchell® Club Repair Shops that offer tour performance upgrades to golf clubs for golfers of all abilities. It is an international network of PGA golf professionals, golf retailers, club repair shops and club makers that are qualified to perform industry standard club performance upgrades equal to the performance repairs the tour professionals receive on tour every week.

Golf club performance upgrades have become the industry’s recognized way of improving golfer’s scores, especially when coupled with golf instruction. It has been well documented that it takes more than a good golf swing to shoot lower scores. It takes good club performance too. Golfers see greater improvement when their clubs perform better.

Each Partner meets certain business requirements to become a "Recognized" Mitchell® Club Repair Shop. They are a registered business with an experienced technician who performs recognized industry standard club performance repairs. Their shop is outfitted with a minimum of professional grade repair equipment.

Mitchell® "Recognized Club Repair Shops" display an in-shop marketing kit, which includes a shop banner, window decals and a wall plaque certificate to identify them as a "Recognized" Mitchell® Club Repair Shop.

The Mitchell® Partners website, www.mitchellclubrepairshops.com has a shop locator for golfers to find a "Recognized" shop near them. Print ads and Internet banners will direct golfers to this site. Information about club performance repair services explains why golfers should have their clubs upgraded for better performance. A directory of each "Recognized" shop lists the club performance repairs offered by each Partner.

The Mitchell® Partners Program officially launched Ocotober1st with its initial group of Partners including all Edwin Watts and Golf USA corporate retail golf stores, PGA Golf Professionals, club repair shops, retailers and club makers.

Mitchell® Golf expects this program to become the largest network of club performance repair shops in the country. It offers the golfing public the choice of an independent certified repair shop available for the first time at all the different types golf businesses offering club performance repairs.
