International Tour Star Benefits from Premium Performance Apparel
(Markham, Ontario) – Trend-setting performance apparel designer Ralph Dunning and his company, Dunning Golf, announce that staff player Zach Johnson will compete in the 2006 Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge, Nov. 14 at the Reflection Bay Golf in Las Vegas, Nevada.
To be broadcast on ABC Sports Dec. 23 and 24, the Wendy’s 3-Tour Challenge benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and pits three of the top players from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours against one another for bragging rights and a share of the $1 million purse.
Johnson will play in Dunning Golf’s complete all-weather apparel system, highlighting existing pieces from the 2006 collection, as well as new colors and styles from the Spring 2007 collection. Performance attributes of the line include permanent moisture management, UV protection of 40+, moisture-wicking, wrinkle-resistance and anti-microbials for excellent odour control.
A member of the 2006 Ryder Cup team, Johnson’s outstanding play this year includes second-place finishes at the Bell South Classic and the Memorial Tournament. He currently stands 17th on the PGA Tour money list with more than $2.2 million in winnings, and 42nd on the Official World Golf Rankings.
"Zach’s selection to participate in this prestigious event is another high-point in a stellar year capped by his first Ryder Cup appearance," says Dunning. "He’s played a key role in the development of our apparel system and enjoyed the game-enhancing attributes it provides."
In addition to Johnson, Dunning Golf’s staff of elite PGA Tour professionals includes John Senden, Bob Estes, Craig Barlow, Brian Gay and Bob Burns, among others. The Spring 2007 collection consists of compression undergarments, polos, mock necks, shorts, pants, pullovers, thermal tops, rainwear and outerwear, all incorporating the company’s proprietary fabric technologies.
