Mona to serve on LPGA advisory council
Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) CEO, Steve Mona, CAE, has been selected to serve on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Commissioner’s Advisory Council.
In an effort to insure that the LPGA is engaging the most creative minds from industry, academia, philanthropy and the arts, LPGA Commissioner Carolyn Bivens has formed an advisory council. Mona will serve for two years, offering advice and insight regarding opportunities for the LPGA while providing expertise in the area of golf course management.
"I am honored to be a part of the LPGA Commissioner’s Advisory Council," Mona said. "This is a great opportunity for the GCSAA to elevate the position of the golf course superintendent and the association, and offer our assistance to Commissioner Bivens. I am pleased the LPGA sees GCSAA as a valued resource."
The Commissioner’s Advisory Council convened for the first time in early September and will continue to meet periodically each year.
