#1 Brand on Tour Adds Another Partner to its Growing List

Marlborough, MA-October 10, 2006- ECCO’s 2007 Golf Collection of classic and casual men’s and women’s golf shoes will be spiked up as all shoes are now available with CHAMP Spikes as the two companies announce their new partnership for 2007.

CHAMP and ECCO are both known for their innovation, quality and comfort. Both companies put design and high performance at the forefront of their core values as CHAMP and ECCO are regarded as industry leaders with their excellence in product quality and design.

"We saw this as a perfect match for both companies," said Harris MacNeill, President of CHAMP. "ECCO has built a reputation for being an innovator in the use of advanced materials, high performance and styling and that’s how we see ourselves in the traction technology industry."

In addition to the spikes, two new ECCO product groups, the Women’s Casual Pitch and the Men’s Flexor Series will come equipped with CHAMP’s patented Q-LOK® system. Q-LOK is the industry’s quickest and easiest receptacle system to use as the spikes can be removed and replaced with just ¼ of a turn of the wrench. Currently, CHAMP spikes and their Q-LOK system are original equipment in all Nike, Dexter, Hi-Tec, in addition to ECCO shoes.

"We have great expectations for our new partnership with CHAMP," said Henning Schlaikjer-Petersen, Division Manager of ECCO Golf. "When it comes to styling, quality and durability, CHAMP and ECCO are a perfect match and that’s why we decided to team up with CHAMP. Their exclusive Q-LOK system is comfortable and the spikes are easy and quick to change. Our customers have come to expect the best from our shoes and they will get the same experience with their spikes."

In addition to quality and product excellence, both companies also share the distinction of longevity. CHAMP is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, while ECCO turned 40 years old in 2003.
