Golden, CO – In recent "Hands-On" player testing, administered nationally by Golfing Magazine (formerly Pub Links Golfer Magazine), Face Forward Technologies F2 Series Wedge was awarded a "Players’ Choice" Award for receiving the Highest Reader’s Rating in the "Best Distance" category.
In this program, wedges are submitted by the manufacturers and tested by amateur golfers all over the country under the supervision of a PGA Professional. The testing was administered to golfers of varied skill levels in order to give a better representation of how all golfersâ?¦not just the pros, hit these clubs. Each wedge is then ranked in several categories: Appearance, Playability, Feel, Distance, and Value and then given an Overall Performance Rating based on these cumulative scores. The F2 Series wedge ranked #1 in Distance against fourteen other wedges that were tested including TaylorMade’s rac TP Satin Wedge, Callaway’s X-Tour Wedge, Mizuno’s MP R Series forged Wedge, and Cleveland’s 588 DSG Series Wedge just to mention a few.
In addition to winning the Players’ Choice Award for "Best Distance", with an 8.5 Readers Rating, the F2 Series Wedge finished with extremely high ratings in every category and received an Overall Performance Rating of 8.0 which placed it T-3rd amongst all wedges tested.
Comments made about the F2 Series Wedge from Golfing Magazine Play Testers included; "At first glance, I did not think I could hit these, however I hit every shot straight at the target and crisp," said Michael Girad, a 14 Handicapper. "Made it easy to hit a flop shot, the best flops I’ve ever hit. Real easy out of the sand also," commented Bill Keefe, a 10 handicapper.
