The Golfalot Price Index celebrated its 2nd birthday with a gain of 1.8% in the month to 15 October 2006 the Golfalot Price Index. Much of this month’s gain can be attributed to new models arriving from all the major manufacturers. This was in evidence in the irons, utility clubs and trolley sectors as new models from TaylorMade, Callaway, Wilson, Macgregor, Sun Mountain and Fraser hit the market.
In the other categories there was little movement in price, with golf balls and golf bags the biggest losers falling by 1.7% and 1.1% respectively as prices tracked down and more expensive models left the market.
