Jeff Jackson, Tour Golf Products’ Director of Marketing, was recently tabbed to act as instructor for the United States Golf Teacher’s Federation Diploma Fitting Courses. These courses are to be held 4 times each year at various locations throughout the United States. The first course is scheduled for Orlando, Florida, to coincide with the annual Professional Golf Expo in January, while the others will be held at Tour Golf’s heaquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Jackson will be instructing the USGTF certified instructors on how equipment relates to the swing and vice-versa. "Many instructors are not as equipment knowledgeable as perhaps they should be," notes Jackson, who also operates Granville Golfland, a golf learning center in Central Ohio. "For a golfer to play his best, he must be exposed to a combination of proper swing instruction and proper equipment specifications. What these courses are designed to do is to make golf teachers aware of basic equipment parameters that will allow the player to improve his game."
Jackson is currently Director of Marketing at Tour Golf Products (www.tourgolfproducts.com) in Columbus, Ohio, as well as with Granville Golfland (www.granvillegolfland.com). He has written several books related to golf equipment and is a regular contributor to numerous web and print golf publications. Jackson graduated from Western Maryland College and received a Masters Degree from Frostburg State University in 1983.
