PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.– The PGA TOUR today announced the hiring of Ross Berlin, most recently the player agent for Michelle Wie through his affiliation with the William Morris Agency. Berlin will rejoin the PGA TOUR in December and will become part of the executive team. His specific duties will be described in more detail in the near future.
Berlin’s new appointment marks his return to the PGA TOUR, having served from 1999 through 2005 in a variety of management roles including Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Vice President of Title Sponsor Relations.
PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem said, "We are delighted to welcome Ross back to the PGA TOUR. He was a strong performer during his years here, and the experience he’s gained at the William Morris Agency adds to his capabilities. He brings with him a wealth of experience and a broad view of our business."
"I am very much looking forward to again serving as part of the PGA TOUR team," Berlin said. "The TOUR continues to strengthen its position in the sports and entertainment marketplace, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to its continued success."
Prior to joining the PGA TOUR in 1999, Berlin held leadership positions in several sports marketing capacities, including Chief Operating Officer at Outback Sports. He also served as Managing Director/Europe for Eagle International Group, where he had a significant involvement in the 1997 Ryder Cup in Spain.
Berlin is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He is married and has two sons.
