Orlando, FL – Rife’s new Island Series Barbados putter is off to an amazing start on the PGA Tour this week in Lake Buena Vista, FL. The leader in the clubhouse after the first round of the Funai Classic used a Rife Barbados putter to fire a 12-under par 60 to take the early lead. The Tour Player had 12 birdies today on The Palm Golf Course at The Walt Disney World Resort and is currently 5 strokes ahead of the field.
"When you shoot 29 on the front and 31 on the back it’s pretty safe to say you didn’t leave too many shots out there on the course", said Matt Molloy, COO of Rife Putters. "He has had an amazing run over the past 12 weeks since switching from our Aussie Blade to the Barbados. It seems like he has been knocking at the door almost every week he has played. Rife Putters is proud to be a part of his emergence as one of the true stars on tour."
About The Rife Barbados Putter
Like all putters from Rife the Barbados is Tour driven. Since its introduction two months ago this oversized mallet putter has found its way into the bag of two of the top 100 players on the PGA Tour whom have enjoyed immediate success. Guerin Rife has designed the Barbados to have a pleasing shape wrapped around a three line center cavity section creating a strong alignment aid. By moving the mass to the outer edges of the putter, the Barbados is extremely stable. It also features both RollGroove and LieAline technologies.
All of Rife’s Putters, the 2 Bar line, GR6 Series, and new Island Series are high-end fully CNC milled putters that offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology and patent pending Lie-Aline System.
About Rife Putters
Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
