October 24, 2006

Golf Flagstick Advertising debuted on the Champions Tour Pro Ams at the Administaff Small Business Classic presented by United Healthcare during the week of October 9th – 14th, 2006 at the beautiful Augusta Pines Golf Club located in the Houston suburb of Spring, Texas.

Sponsors United Healthcare (www.unitedhealthcare.com/) and Pitney Bowes were featured on the Tour Flagsticks for their pro ams and Vistage was beautifully displayed on the putting green flagsticks. Each company saw first hand how having their brand displayed at the focal point of golf, in the hole, was an excellent way to punctuate their involvement with the Administaff Small Business Classic.

Both players and spectators seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

While partnering Ben Crenshaw in the Wednesday Pro-Am Administaff Chairman and CEO, Paul Sarvadi was asked how he liked the Flagsticks. "I love them. And I’m sure Pitney Bowes is very pleased with them, as well," Sarvadi added.

"This is a great way for sponsors to feature their message. Everyone I visited with, really liked this new concept," said Southern Texas PGA Director of Marketing, PGA professional Scott Atkinson. "The Golf Flagstick Advertising company has come up with one of the most innovative and tasteful marketing ideas I have seen. It’s a fine way to reach a captive, affluent golf audience never before available." he added.

Don A. Gilbert, Former Texas Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner and amateur contestant in the Pitney Bowes Pro-Am voiced his opinion. "I like the Flagsticks because they are very visible and you can easily determine the hole location from a considerable distance," said Gilbert, a two handicap player. "And, once you reach the green, you really notice the sponsor’s logo," he added.

Continental Airlines VP, Dave Hilfman wasted no time in showing his liking of the new method of displaying sponsorship of an event. After seeing the Flagsticks in the Pro-Am, he immediately began to make arrangements to use a set of Flagsticks with the Continental Airlines logo for an event the company is conducting for its One Pass customers at Redstone Golf Club, site of the Shell Houston Open.

Golf Flagstick CEO, James Deen and Director, David Brown were on hand with Golf Flagstick Tour Liaison, Terry McGowan to usher in this exciting new era for sponsors on the Champions Tour.

Following the successful conclusion of the Administaff Small Business Classic, both Alcatel and AT&T will be featured on sponsored flagsticks and Ernst & Young will be displayed on the putting green flagsticks at the upcoming AT&T Championship Presented by Alcatel in San Antonio, Texas.
