Palm Coast, FL USA — The PCA (Professional Caddies Association) (PCA) Worldwide Foundation 501 (C) (3) is now accepting worldwide nominees for those deserving induction into the 2006 PCA Worldwide Caddie Hall of Fame. The 8th ceremony in its history will be held at The 2007 PGA Show in Orlando. Your help is needed to encourage nominees throughout the world, which has now been made all the easier with the PCA on-line nomination facility through the PCA worldwide website: http://www.PCAworldwide.org.
Over the years the PCA has grown significantly and is currently working towards establishing a permanent home for the Golf Museum and Caddie Hall of Fame in St. Andrews, Scotland and in St. Augustine, FL USA. New Board Members, Sponsors and Caddie fan support are vital in helping with this and in our mission to help grow the game.
If you know of someone who has had 10 years of caddie service, shown support for the game of golf, worked to help improve the life of the caddie (loopers) or who has had an important impact on the caddying profession, PCA Worldwide wants to hear from you today. If you are unable to access the internet the PCA will send you a form after you contact them with your nomination.
"We want more people around the world to know about it," said Dennis Cone, PCA Worldwide Caddie Foundation President. "We’re really getting the public along with the golfing industry involved in what we are doing. It’s a process over time. As people find out about it (the Caddie Hall of Fame and PCA ) they say, ‘This guy or lady should be in.’ We want to have a caddie from every country in the world represented and sharing their start in golf someday".
The public can nominate deserving candidates from October 1st, 2006 by going to http://www.pcaworldwide.com or by post to 23 Mala Compra Road, Palm Coast, Fl 32137 USA. Once an individual is nominated, the PCA Worldwide will send a letter of nomination and a two-page form to the nominee, or in the case of a deceased nominee, to his/her family or other representative.
