After working with several customers on their 2007 budgets and revenue projections, I wanted to share three ideas that could help you beat your budget meeting blues. Below are three ways to increase your 2007 budget by $60,000. In fact, these three programs should generate $60,000 a piece!
1. SELL ADVERTISING — Where can you sell advertising? Traditional ways are on your tee boxes and scorecards, but who wants to pay money for that? Why not use your range nets and range balls? If your range is near a highway, you can definitely charge a premium. Think "Pepsi" logo range balls, next time you need to replace your range balls.
Sweeten the deal and bundle 50 rounds of golf and a weekday golf event with your advertising package. Sell 6 at $10,000 per package.
2. MULTI YEAR MEMBERSHIPS — Sell a four year program at a 25% discount. If your annual program is $2,500, sell a four year program for $7,500. Sell 8 and you hit your $60,000 goal.
3. PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM — Think of it as a gym membership for your golf game. Unlimited range balls, a weekly golf clinic, and cart fee only golf after 5:00 pm for $29.95/month. Make sure to set up an automated billing system via credit cards.
Sell 170 and now you’re making an extra $5,100 per month! I’ve seen successful programs grow to 500 members. That’s $15,000 per month, $180,000 per year!
