BILOXI, MS: Mickey Bradley, local PGA Tour Official, with the help of Jerry Kelly has organized the Jerry Kelly – Mickey Bradley Habitat for Humanity Pro-Am to raise money to buy four lots to build homes. 84 Lumber has committed to donating all the lumber for the four houses and Habitat for Humanity will build them. The event is being held at Shell Landing October 30th and is expected to generate over $60,000 to build homes in Biloxi.

Some professionals who are in the top 30 will leave immediately to go to the Tour Championship after play. Players which are expected to donate their time for this event are Jerry Kelly along with Chris Smith, Donnie Hammond, Joe Durant, Bob Tway, Kelly Gibson, Jim Gallagher, Jr., Craig Perks, Bobby Wolcot, Bubba Watson, Woody Austin, Steve Jones, Ted Purdy, Harrison Frazar, Paul Goydos, Hunter Mahan, Wes Short Jr, J.B. It all started when PGA Tour Player Jerry Kelly asked local PGA Tour Rules Official, Mickey Bradley, how he could help the Gulf Coast after Katrina. Jerry played many Buy.com Tour events here on the coast and Mickey grew up on Biloxi’s Point Cadet. The idea came at the 84 Lumber Classic to raise funds to build homes in this ravaged area. Jerry Kelly immediately began inviting PGA Tour Players.

Each player can play in this event for $1000 and all monies raised will go directly to the Harrison County Affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. "I want to give special thanks to Jerry Kelly and Mickey Bradley for their interest and support. We are humbled and grateful to partner with PGA Tour players for the benefit of our community," said Kent Adcock, Associate Director, Field Operations, Habitat for Humanity International -Operation Home Delivery. "84 Lumber has been such a great support to us and I could not think of a better joint affiliation, "Says Adcock.

With 84 Lumber Company building the homes, and event support from Mary Mahoney’s, Beau Rivage, Opus Restaurant & Shell Landing – Tournament Chairman, Mickey Bradley, will raise over $60,000 so Habitat can buy land for up to four homes. "We are pleased to support Mickey Bradley and Jerry Kelly in their efforts to build housing for deserving families in Biloxi with the donation of the materials needed for four homes to be built by Habitat for Humanity on the land acquired through Mickey and Jerry’s Pro-Am event" said Maggie Hardy Magerko, President and Owner, 84 Lumber Company. "We at 84 Lumber have come to know these fine men over the past four years of our PGA TOUR event and applaud their efforts and concern for others."

The Gulf Coast Golf Foundation, a foundation formed as a result of Katrina by area golf courses to promote golf’s inherent life lessons to kids and adults, is facilitating and managing the event to fulfill its mission of helping coast residents through golf. "We are happy and excited to facilitate this collaboration of PGA Tour Players, Jerry Kelly, Mickey Bradley, Habitat for Humanity, Mary Mahoney’s and Shell Landing Golf Club as well as 84 Lumber Companies amazing donation of all materials," said Kevin Drum, Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Golf Foundation, "This is exactly why the area course formed this foundation and we hope to continue to help develop golf programs to help coast kids and all residents through the game of golf."
