(RIDGEFIELD, CT) – Troy Matteson used The Heavy Putter A-1 model en route to a ninth-place finish at yesterday’s PGA Tour Chrysler Championship in Tampa Bay, Florida, marking his fifth consecutive Top 10.
This result comes on the heels of a victory at the Frys.com Open in Las Vegas two weeks ago and a runner-up finish at last week’s FUNAI Classic in Orlando. Matteson also finished sixth and eighth during his Top-10 streak that only a handful of PGA TOR players have accomplished this year. Currently ranked No. 36 on the money list, he is one of the frontrunners for the 2006 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year award.

Two weeks ago, Matteson’s field-leading, 27-birdie performance in Las Vegas represented the first time the Heavy Putter was used in a PGA TOUR win, despite being part of more than $3 million in players’ 2006 TOUR earnings.
