PLANO, TEXAS, Nov. 7, 2006 – There were more Adams Golf drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons played by Champions Tour pros at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship than any other manufacturers’ products, according to the Darrell Survey. Adams Golf ranked #1 in the top four equipment categories at the final event of the 2006 Champions Tour season. It was a dominating display of product performance and usage.
"To be a category leader on tour is a tremendous accomplishment. The fact that we finished the season by leading four different categories is remarkable and shows that we’ve developed outstanding products across the board," stated Chip Brewer, Adams Golf CEO. "The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is very much like the All-Star game, with the Champion Tour’s best competing for a $2.5 million purse. To have such an elite field of players trust Adams Golf equipment, with the stakes so high, was the perfect ending to an incredible year for us on tour."
The Charles Schwab Cup Championship completed a perfect season that saw Adams Golf claim the #1 hybrid played at every Champions Tour event. According to Darrell Survey data, Adams Golf accounted for a staggering 54% of all hybrids played this year and set an individual event record with 74 of its hybrids in play at the Senior PGA Championship in May.
