Great Divider's management team buys company

November 15, 2006

Technology and innovation will be strong suit as product line expands

GOLDEN, Colo. – The creative team and sales engine behind Great Divider’s most successful golf bag line in the company’s nine year history are now the owners. Joseph "Jos" Erwin and Desiree Comiskey completed the purchase of Great Divider Golf Bags from company president and founder, Jim Sutter. The two are no strangers to the company as they have worked side by side with Sutter for five and six years respectively making Great Divider the successful company it is today.
Formerly the creative director responsible for the development of new products, Erwin orchestrated the design of the new lightweight, crushproof line. He was able to trim close to four pounds off of each bag’s frame and strengthen them in the process. Erwin created the Web videos on Great Divider’s site that visually demonstrate the crushproof features of the bags.
Comisky has worked closely alongside Sutter handling the company’s internal operations for a number of years including customer service, shipments and deliveries, account management, bookkeeping and vendor relationships. A year ago she moved into her position as national sales manager and has been responsible for managing the company’s key accounts and outside sales force.
"As the company continues to evolve and create more outstanding products these are definitely the right people to take it to the next level," said Sutter. "I feel as if I sold the business to my own family and I look forward to watching the company grow under their energetic vision and leadership."
Sutter will remain with the company as a consultant.
"Desiree and I are excited about the future of Great Divider," said Erwin. "We look forward to continuing the company’s unique ability to combine technology with practicality as we create the latest in style and usability for golf bag designs. We will also carry on with our quest to lead the way in golf bag evolution."
