Mitsubishi Rayon Introduces Diamana White Board

November 15, 2006

Carlsbad, CA . . . Building on the success of multiple PGA TOUR victories with its Diamana® series, MRC Composite Products-USA announced today the company will release another premium shaft offering called Diamana White Board. The Diamana White Board profile will provide extreme stability through impact and as well as the benefits of a low spin shaft design. Players preferring White Board will be able to maximize the launch characteristics of this shaft as well as the same high quality performance that PGA TOUR players have come to know and trust in the Mitsubishi Rayon name.

Diamana White Board, marked with its white flower band as homage to the original Diamana Tour prototypes, will be released nationwide to Authorized Accounts in January of 2007.

The new Diamana White Board represents the third flex profile in a series designed to meet the performance needs of top players with different swing types and requirements. White Board’s design allows players to load the shaft while maximizing tip stability and eliminating harshness, which can be associated with stiff tip shafts.

"The timing is great for our new shaft because Diamana White Board will work extremely well with the high-MOI drivers that are going to be released next year. It provides a feel and ball flight that is still high performance but significantly different than what our other products offer," said Larry Bischmann, Director, North America for MRC Composite Products USA. "Now with this third Diamana product on the market, we will be able to accommodate players who want extreme stability in the tip section."

Diamana White Board will be available in three weights: 63, 73 and 83-gram. The 63-gram is a smart choice for players with a smooth tempo who want maximum head speed off the tee. The 73 and 83-gram weights combine power, stability and also a stiffer tip section.

Mitsubishi Rayon Co., LTD. (MRC) manufactures all the raw materials, including the monomer, acrylic fiber, carbon fiber, resin and prepreg for Diamana Red, White and Blue Board, making MRC the only fully vertically integrated manufacturer in the industry. The result is a graphite shaft designed to meet the performance needs of the best players in the world.
