Bedford, New Hampshire, November 16, 2006 â?¦ Bentley Kinetics, Inc., a leader in the field of wireless motion analysis, and manufacturer of the K-VESTâ?¢ Instructional System — a first-of its-kind golf instructional system that utilizes wireless sensors to capture motion "four times" faster than a standard video system — today announced that PGA professionals representing 26 PGA sections across the United States are now utilizing this innovative 3-D wireless instructional methodology.

K-VEST was created to be the ideal transition from video to wireless 3-D technology. The K-VEST’s 3 wireless sensors capture motion 4 times faster than a standard video camera, allowing instructors to utilize the benefits of 3-D motion to analyze the swing from three dimensions. This precise analysis, combined with real-time animation, instant audio/visual feedback, and swing performance graphs, enables golf instructors to utilize K-VEST to quickly identify and improve swing faults. Further, the precise biofeedback component offers a significantly shorter path to game improvement, eliminating communication barriers between the instructor and student.

"We are thrilled to have reached this level of success within only a year of launching this product," said Michael Bentley, Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Bentley Kinetics, Inc. "K-VEST is the future of golf instruction, and it’s extremely rewarding to see some of the PGA Professional community rapidly transition from video to this wireless instructional system."

The K-VEST, which can be used indoors or outdoors, year-round, uses a video camera and 3 wireless sensors strategically placed on the golfer’s hip, shoulder and hand. These sensors communicate with Bentley’s proprietary KINESYNCâ?¢ software on a laptop to display live video and 3-D animation in the collection mode. The instructor simply records a swing, and within seconds, the software generates a complete 3-D swing analysis allowing the instructor to quickly identify swing faults. The exercise mode is then used to provide real-time audio/visual feedback to optimize performance improvement.
