Adrien Mork Earns Exempt Status on 2007 PGA European TOUR After Switching to the Heavy Putter

Troy Matteson Ranks #36 on PGA TOUR to Typify Heavy Putter 2006 Global Success

(RIDGEFIELD, CT) – Adrien Mork, the Frenchman who used the Heavy Putter B-3 model en route to a record-setting round of 59 in one of his two victories on the 2006 European Challenge Tour, has earned exempt status to compete on the 2007 PGA European Tour.

In addition to being the first to register a 59 in European Tour history (at the Tikida Hotels Agadir Moroccan Classic in June), Mork used the Heavy Putter A3-M model to win the Oki Mahouo Challenge de Espana in September. His 59 and first victory came only three weeks after switching to the Heavy Putter.

Mork using the B-3 model in his first win and the A3-M model in his second win proves "it doesn’t matter what Heavy Putter model you use; they all help you win."

"Under pressure to shoot 59, I had some great rhythm and, obviously, confidence with the Heavy Putter," says Mork. "Right away I was making long putts consistently. There’s no way the ball can come off the face too quickly."

Closer to home, Troy Matteson enjoyed an outstanding rookie campaign on the PGA TOUR. With the Heavy Putter A-1 model, Matteson won the Frys.com Open and registered five, consecutive Top 10 finishes to rank 36th on the 2006 PGA TOUR money list and become one of the frontrunners for the Rookie of the Year award.

The fourth win worldwide was by Josh Habig who used an A-2 model at the Canadian Tour’s MTS Classic in July. It was Habig’s first Tour triumph.

"We are thrilled for the Tour players who have succeeded universally using the Heavy Putter," says Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf, maker of the Heavy Putter. "Additional testament to the superiority of the Heavy Putter comes en masse from avid and recreational amateur golfers who are realizing less putts per round after switching to the Heavy Putter."

The Heavy Putter’s success on the international Tours parallels its rapid acceptance in the global marketplace, as the company has distributor agreements in 12 countries on three continents.

Introduced in early 2005, the revolutionary and popular Heavy Putter is the first and only putter that automatically improves the consistency of golfers’ strokes. Its unprecedented counter-balance theory of a heavier mass head and weighted grip causes greater stroke stability, consistent swing paths, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control, and tightens the end-over-end golf ball roll.

The innovative weight technology features a 450-550 gram head (conventional heads are 330-350 grams). The Heavy Putter’s unique Weight Management System, a 250-gram weight installed in the grip end, produces a balance point 75 percent higher than conventional putters.

Golfers instinctively activate their larger, more stable muscles, preventing wrist breakdown and creating greater stability and consistency throughout the stroke. Adjustable tip weights fine tune the balance point of the putter to match golfers’ unique release characteristics.

The new Heavy Putter Matte Series is $199, including the adjustable tip-weight kit. Three blade and three mallet models come in standard, mid and long-putter lengths for men and women with different shaft configurations. Some models are available for left-handed golfers.
