Louisville, KY – The Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society, an international, independent association headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky whose mission is to foster, promote, and elevate the art of professional golf club fitting and repair, has named Jerry Hoefling, Jr., as its new Director of Technical Services. Barry J. Palm, Executive Director, made the announcement.
"I am pleased that Jerry has joined the PCS. He has an extensive background in the golf clubmaking industry as well as many friends and contacts in the equipment and component sectors, so he will be a valuable resource for our association and its membership," said Palm.
Hoefling will succeed Bob Dodds, Executive Technical Director, who is retiring at the end of the year. Prior to joining the PCS, Hoefling was a club builder at Hot Stix in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has also worked for Ralph Maltby’s GolfWorks as a ‘Professional Advanced’ fitter, and for the Mitchell Golf Equipment Company where he was a ‘Certified’ club repair technician. He also holds the distinction as PCS Professional "Class A" Clubmaker and was the youngest PCS member to attain this prestigious PCS certification.
Founded in 1989, the Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society is a global non-profit association of 1,100 professional golf clubmakers involved in fitting and repair.
