Golf Made Simple Will Open at Southern Hills Plantation in January 2007
Brooksville, FL – Golf Made Simple has just announced a deal to expand their nationally recognized golf school to Southern Hills Plantation in Brooksville, Florida. The golf school was founded by highly acclaimed PGA professional, Marc Solomon, with locations in San Diego, CA, St. Augustine and Amelia Island, FL, and now Brooksville.
Travis Norman, the Executive Vice President of Marketing for the parent company Hampton Golf Clubs, says that, "From a consumer standpoint, not only is Golf Made Simple a successful business partner, but they’re also my personal golf coach. Their user-friendly philosophy is what’s so appealing to me. I’ve been around a lot of golf philosophies and Golf Made Simple’s is truly very simple, even for the low handicap golfer. I go to the school three to four times a year to keep my handicap in the single digits. Marc’s enthusiasm and belief in the system is very refreshing. A lot of times instructors are just going through the motionsâ?¦ it’s different with Golf Made Simple."
Golf Made Simple is excited about their partnership with Southern Hills Plantation, one of the best courses in Florida with a hilly terrain that is unusual for Florida. The course boasts a diverse landscape with elevations of 60 to nearly 250 feet. The only Pete Dye designed course in the Tampa area, it is the second longest course in Florida with yardage from 5205 to 7557. The course tests every aspect of a golfer’s game and challenges players of all skill levels. "Southern Hills is a great location for us. They fit in with our unique instruction philosophy, and the amenities are first class. This is a very special place and I’m proud to be part of the Southern Hills family," says Marc Solomon.
Known for attracting visitors from around the globe, Golf Made Simple is excited to increase Southern Hills’s international recognition among world golfers. "We love the exposure that Golf Made Simple will give us. We already have a few international members and are hopeful that Golf Made Simple will welcome in more global residents," says Randy Houseman, manager of Southern Hills.
Southern Hills knows that Golf Made Simple golfers are typically repeat visitors who enjoy returning each year with friends and family. Southern Hills is optimistic that their business deal with Golf Made Simple could help lead to an increased number of property sales at the resort. "We’re sure that if golfers get a taste of the lifestyle at Southern Hills while they are at Golf Made Simple, that they’ll enjoy it so much that they’ll want to return," comments Houseman.
Golf Made Simple will be kicking off the Tampa location in January 2007. Reservations are now being taken for classes which are limited to only four golfers per class to allow for individualized instruction.

About Golf Made Simple
The philosophy of Golf Made Simple is what you would expect – simple. Prior to Golf Made Simple, most golfers have 13 different swings for the 13 woods and irons in their bag, which is complicated to keep consistent. Golf Made Simple believes in one swing that is different for each individual, but works for all 13 clubs. A results-based approach to golf instruction measures a golfer’s success right away. Golfers are taught to move their whole body in one fluid motion. There is no focusing on one body part, so there is less compensation and more consistency. Pro golfers don’t take 60 minute golf lessons once a week that are crammed in between work and family with no time for practice. Pros fly to their coaches for 3-5 days of intense instruction and then keep in touch on their progress via email and phone calls. The nationally recognized PGA professional, Marc Solomon and his staff lead four person classes for a customized experience. Golfers can take 3, 5 and 7-day classes in San Diego, CA, St. Augustine, FL, Amelia Island, FL, and Tampa, FL. Their Instructor For Life program guarantees that each golfer can always contact their instructor for free customized advice, tips, drills and exercises – for life. "92% of golfers who come to Golf Made Simple looking to break 90 for the first time have been successful in reaching their goal!" It’s Golf Made Simple.
