Draw-Enhancing Clubs From the No. 1 Driver in Golf Now Offered in a Men’s and Ladies’ Set that Combines Two Rescue Clubs and Six Irons

CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 29, 2006) – Recently, the TaylorMade Golf Company introduced a new line of golf equipment called r7 Draw, aimed at improving golfers who need help hitting a draw or softening a slice. The r7® Draw family includes a 460 cc driver, fairway woods, Rescue® clubs and irons, each sold separately.

Now TaylorMade has introduced the r7 Draw Combo Set, an eight-club set that combines two r7 Draw Rescue clubs (3 and 4) and six r7 Draw irons (5- through pitching wedge). A women’s r7 Draw Combo set is also available, consisting of two r7 Draw Rescue clubs (4 and 5) plus six r7 Draw irons (6-iron through attack wedge).

"More and more players, from tour professionals to club champions to high handicappers, are replacing their long-irons with Rescue clubs," said Sean Toulon, TaylorMade’s executive vice president of product and brand creation. "That’s especially true for the type of player that needs help hitting a draw. By offering the r7 Draw Combo set, players don’t have to spend money on two long-irons that they don’t intend to use."

The r7 Draw Combo set (men’s and ladies’) will be available at TaylorMade’s retail partners starting in mid-November, at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $840 in steel and $1,080 in graphite.

"We’re confident that many players will choose the r7 Draw Combo set based not only on the virtues of our Draw-Weighted Technology, but also on TaylorMade’s expertise at developing the best hybrid clubs in golf," said Toulon.

TaylorMade has ranked an overwhelming No. 1 in hybrid use on the PGA Tour. More TaylorMade Rescues were put in play in 2006 than the next two competitors combined.* TaylorMade won 45 out of 48 hybrid counts on the PGA Tour in 2006, making it the clear choice amongst the world’s best players.* TaylorMade is also the hybrid of choice among non tour players – TaylorMade has ranked No. 1 in hybrid sales in the U.S. in 2003, 2004, 2005 and so far in 2006.**
